Ridiculous Police Blotter Entries

I read my town newspaper police blotter, mainly to see who from my graduating class gets arrested, but I've been compiling some of the more absurd entries.

"On April 23 at 8:57 p.m., police investigated an anonymous letter indicating witchcraft was being performed in an Elm Street residence, and met with the occupants. A cooperative voluntary search of the home proved no satanic rituals taking place as the letter indicated."

I wasn't aware I was living in Salem circa 1692.



"On March 31 at 9:59 a.m., a suspicious incident was reported in the area of Prospect and High streets. A caller stated that, while she was walking her dog, she saw a Navy blue, four-door imported vehicle, possibly a Honda Accord, pass west on High Street, then slow down. The victim stated that she walked south on Prospect, and when she got to the corner of Prospect and Hawthorne, the vehicle was stopped at the stop sign. The female driver had her window down, and a black male was lying down in the back seat "smiling" at the victim. The victim stated that she pulled out her cell phone and the car fled north towards High Street. The vehicle had older-style, white New York license plates and was driven by a Hispanic female in her 30s. The victim was advised how to obtain a copy of this report for her records."

Kinda long, I know, but the jist of it is a woman is walking near a stop sign. A car slows down, and stops (at the stop sign), one of the occupants smiles at her, and then flees (drives normally away from said stop sign). But my town is so unabashedly racist that it was reported to the police.

So any other towns that are just plain absurd when it comes to police stories ?
