Ski training facility

I just wanted to see how many people would actually want to go to a place where they have trampolines, foam pits, and a place to hangout and work on your tricks before you send it on the snow. Feed back would be appreciated thanks.

same, i think a lot of people would go and it would be fun time to work on tricks and hang out.

insurance must be astronomical for these kind of ventures.

but theres so many potential marketplace niches you could enter

classes and lessons  

training

fitness classes

little kids / day care

exercise

activities and recreation

birthday parties

yeah insurance would be through the roof, but where i live, in Michigan there aren't any places where skiers/snowboarders or anyone who want to do trampoline classes besides gymnastics places. so i feel like it would attract a decent crowd.

idk about where you're at, but there are multiple gymnastics gyms in my area that have this exact setup.

A place like that would be so sick, I wish they had one near my mountain.
Id probably end up living there and only going back to my house to shower and sleep.

All you'd really need to attract people would be to advertise a bit on local websites (preferably ski/snowboarding oriented of course), and just let the rest spread through word of mouth. I know if somebody told me a place like that was close, Id look into it in a heartbeat.

there are a couple but there is open bounce like twice a week and it's just so limiting to when you can go and all they focus on are certain flips, no off axis flips,rodeos, and misty's. it would be nice if there was a place more dedicated to skiers/ snowboarders. maybe classes you could take to learn all the different flips.

this place is near me. You definitely should cater to more than just skiers and snowboarders. Little kids birthday parties.

that's what i saying if there was a place like that by me i would be there all the time too, that's why i want to open one up. the only thing is i feel like it would be a difficult thing to do.

You'd definitely need a huge chunk of money to start something like that up. Not to mention insurance, employees, maintenance, ect. If you decide to try, gl :).

that's exactly what i would want to do, but yeah it would cost a lot and it's hard to guarantee that people would come.

i support this, not necessarily sno-gression, but facilities like it. minimum of 4 tramps (of the olympic kind, of course), foam pit, mini ramps, dry slope. I feel like it really needs to be more like woodward at copper or tahoe though, because most towns aren't as ski-related as slc and therefore the facility would have to cater to bikers, skaters, etc. to stay open.
