Im 20 shes 19. Met her at the beginning of this semester in chem.
We workout together every Tues and Thurs and have lab together every Friday. Usually after workouts just get food and chill for like an hour.
I immediately, like within a the 2nd week of hanging with her made some feeling her out type moves and found out she had a boyfriend and didn't seem to interested.
I gave up on her and then then got a girlfriend a few weeks later but me and her continued working out and chilling casually after but just as strict friends, neither of us were making moves.
Fast forward to two weeks ago, Shes having trouble with her boyfriend, and im having trouble with girlfriend. At this same time she would randomly ask in a flirty way when we were hanging out and she got alot more giggly and fun with me. In like a strange way we got really close together as friends but some tension is building on my side and i sense some on her side too.
Now, sometimes when we are walking around campus i put my arm around her and she leans into it and seems to enjoy it and we cuddle sometimes after workouts and always do long deep hugs goodbye. (im concerned i may just be really deeply into the friend zone, and it may just be in my head, what do you think?)
Today was a great day. Our schedules finally mingled and we got to hangout. We went for a hike today to this dope dam. Things were pretty casual and friendly on the way in, but on the way out i put my arm around her and she leaned into me and put her arm around me like we were a couple. (im starting to think more than friends here) We have a great fun convo and i drive her back to her car when she gets all giggly and gives me 2 very long deep hugs goodbye, and may have possible came in the second time for a kiss ( she was like leaning toward me head for a lil but i wasnt expecting it and hugged her) She also just ended things with her bf and i also ended things with me gf a few days ago.
So ns, what do you think? I get mixed signals with her but nothing for sure. i mean friends dont usually hug as deeply and cuddle the way we are and we havnt known each other that long soo im not sure what to do with her. I dont have feeling for her and will never see her again unless i drive to her after this semester so some casual sex would be nice. Ive never done a friends with benefits thing before and im lost in the idea of trying to initiate it. I wanna go for this because the semesters almost over and if i get rejected and it gets awkward ill never see her again and life will go on, but if i succeed it will be glorious. I was thinking of in a jokingly way bringing up the topic of sex sometime and then kindof asking in a joking way if shes ever done it in the woods before, and then asking her if shed wanna do me in the woods? This comes off as creepy in my head though so im not sure. What do you guys think? how should i go about this?
