Implying women have equal rights in the first world..
they definitely do not. even looking at something as simply as salary gap (even after being adjusted for the cost of child bearing as a single mom), we can we there is inequality. this doesn't even begin to cover the difference in expectations between male/female (think about how much time women are expected to put into looking good - not to knock people that like to do that -, or how women are judged on their sexual merits when it is completely irrelevant to most positions they will fill in society.
and even after that it can still change things on other countries, influencing policy through multinational groups, generating positive media (unlike this example) and even straight up financial support for other campaigns. sometimes it isn't the most effective way but I mean clearly food security campaigns have some far reaching success
