Venom GT is now the fastest car you can buy. The Bugatti Veyron needed 4 miles to get to 258, where the Venom GT did it in 2 miles...

THATS FAST.

I think so. I keep seeing articles about the "Bugatti Veyron Stripped Of 'Fastest Production Car' Title" so I assume yes. It is produced by Hennessy Performance.

it's also capable of cornering, unlike the veyron. i'd rather take the koenigsegg though.

While that's sick, It's important to remember that the Venom is a race car and the Veyron is an ultra exotic luxury car. Of course the venom is faster, it compromises nothing in the pursuit of being the fastest whereas the Veyron rides smooth as a baby's ass and you could sip your coffee casually at 200mph without fear of accidental spillage due to a harsh ride.


Amazing and yes faster but understandably so. I'm no less impressed with either though, that I must say. Technology is amazing these days.

They are both "production" if you call it that (by definition yes), but the Bugatti still hit a higher speed, they just speed regulate them at a lower speed. So the Bugatti is still technically faster if you get them to not regulate it, I doubt any sane person would try to post factory tune them.

Also it's kind of bullshit that Guinness won't count the Veyron SS which did 269 and change around the Ehra-Lessein track because it was modified from the factory even though it was sold as tested.

And krob, the Veyron SS slaughtered on the Top Gear track. It beat the Koenigsegg and the Gumpert among others. That thing can turn too even though it's a locomotive which sort of blows my mind.

by koenigsegg i meant the one that has yet to visit top gear, the one that would probably slay even the pagani, the Agera R. i mean, lamborghini beat the ss... and besides that it's generally accepted that veyrons are ugly as fuck, volkswagen can do better.

I agree veyrons are ugly and although they technically aren't designed to look pretty, they sure were designed to look like the equally-fugly EB110s of yesteryear. No idea why they couldn't just make it less ugly.

Morgans too haha wtf, it's not 1920 anymore.

I just want to put it out there that John Hennessy is basically a con-artist. Ridiculous amount of lawsuits against him, and I think lotus even sued him over this car, and that's why it took so long to release. I refuse to let his antics rustle my jimmies though because he used to go around and openly hate on members of viperforums under the username John @ HPE; looking back he must have been trolling hence why I cant get mad, noone wants to fall for a troll. Far more qualified and reputable tuners in the U.S. then this guy for sure.

Just search it up online. I will admit that some of the cars including this one are pretty damn awesome. But given his customer service history, and his shenanigans at the track he owns... Makes me wish someone else was doing what he does.

The LFA is a sick car an all but it doesn't come close to comparing to a Hennessy Venom or the Bugatti. And that's probably the ugliest color/model Porsche I've ever seen.

the term "production car" is so ambiguous these days. the veyron is a car essentially engineered and designed from scratch and sold to everyone who will buy one. the venom starts out with a lotus and strips it all out makes some modifications to chassis drops a rather large tuned engine with some forced induction voodoo and there will only be like 10 made.

with that said, both are amazing feats of engineering.

Lol the 911 is one of the most classic sports cars of all time. A Subaru forester is homely looking. A 911 is classic.

I think the gumpert Apollo enraged is a really good looking car, but the top gear guys think otherwise. :(
