I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a thread for everyone to post any minor bugs/issues on the site that they have found. This way people can talk/bitch about them or help each other out if it isn't a problem with the site.
I apologize if this is a repost.

To start it off,

Whenever I type a comment on a picture/video/news/etc, each character I type or each time I press delete/backspace, the text box grows by one line's worth. So by the time I'm ready to press submit, I have to scroll way down the page to find the submit button.
I'm on Chrome and a Mac if that affects it.

Anyone else?

-benedettoSome sort of ad, maybe the rebull ad, causes my computer to freeze up and take over the whole screen saying to download flash. Takes only a second to close to the NS window, open a new tab and get back to the page I was looking for but still annoying. This happen to anyone else?

This has happened quite a few times. page starts loading then bam this ad comes up and i have to go back a page to get rid of it

Videos won't play for me - when I go to play them, the ad never loads, just sits there with its stupid spinning arrow taunting me. My internet connection is fine and I can play videos on other sites.

It happens when the pre-video ad tries to load. I don't have Adblock (I'm an NS patriot, what can I say). Right now I'm not getting any video ads for some reason, but I'll check again tomorrow and see what's going on. If it happens again, I'll post here. Thanks Doug!

Does the video play when there's no ad? There aren't many right now so you might not see them.

Does anyone else see the same behavior?

When there's no ad, the videos play just fine. Right now, I'm not getting any ads for whatever reason, so it's not bugging out. But before, when they would try to load, nothing would happen. Not sure what it is, but I'll post back when it pops up again. Thanks again Doug.

Can you check if this started working?

We just launched an update to the video player which should fix some desktop bugs.

Still not getting any ads! The videos themselves are playing fine. I can't complain about no ads but just can't confirm whether that bug is still happening or not.

There's way less ads right now. Keep your eye on it and quote me in here if you see it again.

I noticed when I was quoted in a cult, I didn't get an alert. I'm not sure if alerts are even supposed to work in cults but incase they are supposed to work, they didn't...

Right underneath the home page slider there's that thing that says "top day", "top week", "top all time", etc.

When I hit "top all time", it freezes or goes super slow. Had to quit firefox once. I've gotten the unresponsive script notification from firefox if that means anything.

Using an iMac.

On iPad Air, cant post reviews and/or choose manufacturers/companies, also can't see members videos, feedback, pictures, etc.

On my iPhone and iPad every single time I hit back to get out of a thread I get logged out. I don't know if that has been addressed but it's driving me crazy.

Watching threads doesn't work for me. I click watch, it changed to "watched" and then if i go back to the thread listing and go into the thread again it's not watched. the same thing happens if I use the back button or click on the name of the thread listing, aka nsg or sg.

I'm on the current osx, chrome, and it's not like I'm constantly deleting cookies or doing anything like that so I don't know what's up.

How does the voting system on posts work? I often up or down vote a post and it jumps 1 or 2 more votes (I just upvoted a post at 0 and it went right to 3). On top of that, when I refresh or later visit that page, it's still at 0 (or whatever it was before).

Is this a bug or do the post ratings only show after a certain amount of time or something?

I'm on Safari btw. It's also 1AM in CA, so it might be a site maintenance thing...

Shit, sorry about this NS! When I was trying to post this last night, I kept getting "errors" that took me back to the Reply Thread page. So, naturally, I kept clicking "Post Reply," because in another tab, my replies weren't showing on the forum page.

Was this because late-night updates were being run? I won't post so late if so. I run Safari. I kept getting errors that said "You are not authorized to post in this forum" and "Error, could not upload, please try again later."

Again, sorry about the inadvertent spam. My bad, I was tired and impatient.

Lolololololol. Ive had that happens before too though. I got it in the middle of the day though so its not a late night problem

Here's a random question, anyone having the same thing happen where you get randomly logged out every now and then?

I just got logged out a couple times without even hitting logout. I wonder if it's just me having this issue. If it makes any difference I was using the quick links at the top of the center white box where it says >> Forums >> Non-Ski Gabbar >> etc. each time it logged me out. Last time I noticed it was going back to NSG from the go fund me thread in NSG using the link I described earlier.

Are you logging in on a different browser/device when it happens? You can only be logged in on one thing at a time.

Every message I receive and send is like a duplicate and it's been happening all day. I thought it was just a coincidence but I just looked my history and every message went through twice both outgoing and incoming.

I believe that used to be the case but they changed it not too long ago.

I was actually only logged into one place when it happened. Even though you can log into a few different locations now. If I'm remembering correctly you can be logged into mobile and desktop and it wont kick you out of either.

We actually changed that about a month ago, you can now be logged in on multiple devices, so this must be some other random bug which is part of that.
