Thoughts on my first real edit?

Made this from a local comp last weekend, really great day and I'm pretty glad with how it came out. I know there's some definite flaws(not going to say anything as I'm not sure how apparent some of them are) nothing too major in my eyes, but let me know what you think.

inb4 snowboarding sucks.

Too much repetition or what? not enough fillers once it got started? and how can you dislike kasabian!

I think it was the song. The shots at the beggining were pretty repetative as well. The shots in general werent bad, but something with the song just didnt make the edit exciting at all.

i dont know if snowboarding just doesnt appeal to me but i just didnt enjoy that edit.
the scenery at this event was horrific.
some shots were out of focus
snowboarding wasnt the best (alot of early offs and sketchy tricks)

thats just me tho

Glad I'm finally getting some criticism.

What do you mean by the scenery being horrific? what would you suppose would be a better for example?

so bland, only colours i see are the white of the hill and blue sky. i really enjoy edits at the blackpark, at buttermilk and blue mountain. i just love how you can see trees, nice backdrop that kinda stuff

just realized the backdrop at this mountain is pretty dope but you didnt really take advantage of it. most shots were facing up the hill

Yeah I get what you're saying, literally the biggest trees at the mountain are 2 feet high if that, and they say it takes them 100 years to grow to that haha. I've always wanted a park going through a line of trees, always looks so cool at northstar and stuff.

Not much I can do really with those regards besides trying to get more of the loch and the hills in the background in, but that only works in one direction really.

Yeah it's a difficult spot to film from especially trying to figure out when they're dropping in, tried to get a couple like that in though.

true you dont have much to work with. overall not a bad edit man! maybe something as little as a song change could make this really good

Kasabian is so legit. One of the best shows I've seen. BUT I think something a little faster would have produced a tighter and more entertaining edit.

Not bad at all
Actually liked the song
Colours were a little flat. Some added contrast might of made the subject jump out a little.
Switch up the angles more often and get some background into your shots.
I would recommend to make your video maybe 30 seconds shorter. I would have
removed the clips with messed up tricks.

Here's what the official filmer put out, how do you think they compare? straight off the bat I feel like I should have varied focal lengths more, and angles a bit. Any other things that you think they did noticabley better?
