right here.

if you follow the premise of the stories, yeah the wand gives fairy powers and having the lightsaber implies command of the force. easy call.

if it came down to just the two items, one is  a seemingly weightless laser sword and the other is a relatively useless stick. even easier call.

All he did was list which powers you got from each weapon then said "easy call."

I'm just not trying to read too much into it, don't want to make any wrong assumptions. Nonetheless, that's some great advice you got there.
