Questions on re-mounting skis

does it make it weaker if you remount skis even if the bindings have the same mounting screw holes?

if you are just removing old bindings and mounting new ones in the same holes you will be fine. Just be carfull when removing the old screws and do the new screws up wby hand.

If it's got the same mounting pattern and the holes aren't stripped, you're completely fine to use the same holes again. Be careful not to cross thread the holes, and either drop some wood glue and steel wool or epoxy into the holes.

Dont use eposxy on binding screws. I see this quite often here. When you come to take the bindings off the epoxy can make a real mess of the holes and the core. Use a good quaility wood glue, never epoxy.

Oh right ok, I only added epoxy to my standard response to the remounting same holes question because I see it posted on here so frequently, thanks for clearing that up. OP I'd listen to this guy he works in a shop, so he knows his stuff.

yes it does your ski's will break if you remount them with the same pattern
