But like this season coming up of skiing will be my first I'm getting a seasons pass how hard is it to get the basics down, people are telling me like 3 runs and I should know what I'm doing
Get a lesson to start out and take lessons until you can ski the whole mountain comfortably. This will make you feel much more confident just skiing around and in the park. You won't regret taking lessons.
You'll have the most fun if you learn to ski correctly. In other words, take lessons. Most of us long-time skiers took our lessons when we were really young, and I know it feels fucking lame taking lessons as a teenager, but it's the only way to learn properly.
Yeah.. Skiing takes years to perfect, you don't want to be one of those guys who has no basic skiing skills in the park, if you're pizza'ing in the back seat on your inrun, you're not gonna have a good time. My advice, take plenty of lessons, learn how to carve/work your skis properly, maybe try skiing some bumps/steeps, THEN venture into the lil park and start hitting boxes/small rails and jumps.
Or just fuck it and start hacking your first day. It's your decision, just some friendly advise!
having someone at least teach you the basics is gonna be super helpful, it'll save you a lot of time and you'll have a good base to start of in the park...
get lessons or someone who knows what they're doing to help you out ...
