So I'm saving up for next season, now I know you can ski stiffer skis at shorter lengths (I've ridden 174 rossignol scratches and it honestly wasn't that bad, would never want to go off anything XL, but for rails it was actually really fun).
Anyway I've tried to lineup possibilites for what to buy next. I ski 90% park if not more. I prefer a ski with lots of flex in the tips and tails since it allows for easier butters and presses, plus it makes skiing outside the park much more interesting. Literally the only time I'm not in the park or trying to film urban, I'm skiing groomers towards the park. On the way I'm going fast trying to carve switch better or side hits. Very occasionally when it dumps I ski tree's or me and some friends will build a jump into pow, nothing massive just for fun.
Here's my options, sorry if the list is long:
Line Chronic (185) - Good all around ski and the length is great but mounting would be difficult, I'd probably go core center. I also don't know much about the flex of this ski.
Line Future Spin (181) - Really interested in this ski, but the length is probably too short. I've researched this ski really like the design. Full camber thats stiff underfoot with softer tips and tails, but again length is the issue.
Atomic Punx (182) - Super well received ski and next years are supposed to be stiffer so it's a possibility, however I don't really know if I'd like that extra stiffness, since I prefer a looser type of ski.
Armada Alpha X (182) - Seems very interesting, with the wider waist and park specific rocker for presses but again the shorter length and rocker make it likely a no go. I know armada measures short to but I don't know exactly how short.
