Danderson's Juice Fast Extravaganza

Today starts my juice fast experience. I am shooting for 60 days and have never done this before. I do not need to lose weight whatsoever, but for some reason, I want to do this. I feel as if I need more self-discipline in my life right now and this would be a great way to get it. Has anyone had any experience with a juice fast before?

I am weighing in at 172 pounds and measuring at 6 feet exactly. I will be periodically checking in with my progress in the coming days. Wish me luck!

60 days is a long time, I knew someone who did it for 7 seven days following a set juice plan. They said it was long enoughh to fully 'detox', -their words not mine.

Anyways good luck with that

Damn straight.

And yes, 60 days is a very long time, however, I feel like if I set it for 10 days, by the time it was over I would just be getting the discipline I need. We shall see.

That sounds miserable. If you want more self-discipline, do something slightly less miserable with slightly more benefit - like running every day.

juice recipes!
i love pineapple cucumber. throw a couple ice cubes in there and it's refreshing as fuck

  • 1 cup of pineapple
  • ½ cucumber
How to Make
  1. Chop the peel off the pineapple.
  2. Wash the cucumber - peel if waxed.
  3. Slice the fruit to fit your juicer.
  4. Juice and enjoy.

I did it for a few days, but I wasn't enjoying it and after further research, it isn't too hot for the body.

I'm weighing in at 164 now.

My chick just got done from a 2 week water fast...2 weeks of nothing but water........ she did it and was just fine. Therefore a juice fast is not gonna hurt you in anyway. It will speed up your metabolism for sure since it'll be super easy digestion. Right on , good luck

Styles P is a major advocate of juices, since he owns a juice bar, and he juice fasts all the time. That alone would be a reason for me to give it a go. Do smoothies count as juice? Or is that cheating?

juice fasting isn't bad for you. period. you're eating mass amounts of fruits and vegetables, how is that bad for you? screws up you're metabolism? bullshit, that means you're eating like shit to begin with. the amount of time you're doing it is where the discrepancy comes. if you're overweight, you can go longer b/c your body has fat(energy) it can just keep on eating. if you're already in shape and eat relatively clean, there's no benefit to going longer than about 3 days.

as far as losing weight goes, culture has skewed what a healthy weight actually looks like. people are fucking fat. i wouldn't be concerned about 6' mid 160's.

according to what? everyone is different sized. small hipped, small shouldered 6' guy isn't going to be even close in weight to a wide hipped, large shouldered guy.

i always thought people went on a fast for physiological reasons (not for health benefits), to prove a point to themselves or others. also, i have heard of fat/unhealthy people doing a juice cleanse before they start a real diet or new way of living
