Aside from Tuckerman Ravine, MRG is the most core skiing experience that one can have on the east coast. Went up there for the first time with my dad this year. We were lucky enough to ski it after a pretty decent storm (I think they got 6-8").
Dropping in off the single chair, I had no idea what to expect, but the runs are long, steep and full of aggressive features like drops, chutes, and natural moguls. Our favorite run of the day was to the skier's right of Paradise. It was a great glade with an steep, sustained pitch and some really fun chutes.
All in all, a fun day. I'll definitely be going back.
