Armada or Fat-ypus?

I don't know about the Fat-ypus, but if you're looking for a really soft ski, I'd go with the Armada Thall instead of the AR7, it's practically the same ski but with a softer flex pattern

This, ar7 is a pretty stiff ski. Thall or halo would be better from the armada lineup

I have a friend who had gbutters and while he loved them he said they were pretty stiff i would definitly take a gander at the thalls they seem more geared towards you

I've been riding on g-butters for 4 years now. Why? I used to ski on 4frnt, Dynastar, and Line. All these skis fell apart on me after a bout of month of use on rails.

Faty-pus are the highest quality ski I have found. They can really take a beating. I really like the dimensions on the ski as well. They are perfect for taking tricks deep. However, they are also really playful and butter in the tails and noses. Its the best of both worlds in my opinion. It is scary to have a ski such as the Line Anthem that falls apart on you on the big jumps. That doesn't happen with Fat-ypus.

Faty-pus is also a small business in comparison to Armada. The owner is a super chill dude based out of Breckenridge. He loves to ski and knows how to build a ski.

Give Fat-ypus a try. I have yet to find a park ski that I like more than the G-butter.

wish there was a way to demo fatypus in the midwest.

how would you compare the flex of the anthem to the g-butter and L-toro

I had a pair of anthems back in the 08/09 season. The ski was super stiff, lifeless, and super heavy. I joked with my friend that it felt like I was skiing on a couple of 2 x 4s.

I have the L-Toro as well. Both skis are super playful. They have a much more playful, buttery felex pattern than the anthems I skied on.

The L-Toro is especially fun in the park, a little heavier, but its still playful.

I'd go with THalls. I rode them last year and they are sick. They held up amazingly at 100+ days. And they flex pattern was sick. It's a softer ski too.

Does anyone know what the D-root ski is?

I have a friend with the g-butters and when he flexed them they seemed buttery. He was doing butters al the time, and he hit some decent sized jumps. I don't know about the weight but i think they have it on the fat-y-pus website.

My brother has the AR7's, and he said they were softer than everyone makes them seem and still buttery. They're probably still stiffer than the g-butters or the t-halls.

Another friend has the t-halls and he complained about the weight a little. I have never felt them. and he isn't that good but that is the only feed back ai have on them.

I ski the atomic punx and would reccommend them. They are very light and buttery. The funnest skis i have owned. Im way better at park now that im riding them though i was skiing salomon lords before.
