People who should not have go pros

people who are terrible at skiing and biking should not use go pros or nice helmet cams.

examples: people from texas and spain who film themselves going down catwalks, you do not need to get a several hundred dollar helmet cam for the sole purpose of filming yourself being an idiot.

Though I somewhat agree, anyone does have the right to buy a helmet camera and use it for whatever purpose they please. GoPro wouldn't be so successful if you had to be Tom Wallisch to use it. Trust me when I say I agree with you that people going down groomers who can barely carve look ridiculous wearing helmet cameras. Who are we to tell them they can't do that because they cannot triple cork the biggest jump in the park or slay a crazy pillow line, that's my opinion anyways.

You're right, not to mention the occasional aggro dad, etc.

On second thought, everyone should have them. They could honestly be the second coming of the Russian dash cam.

they can buy as many as they want its good business for go pro. but i think that those people dont even take videos with their go pros and they only use them to look cool, which is dumb because they look like idiots.

I simply don't understand why some people don't keep them in their pocket whole not in use. That's what I do with the Action Cam I got for Christmas, use it for trees and filming friends, then put it in my pocket when I'm skiing groomers so I don't look like a fucking teletubby.

1st of all i love the idea of this thread.

^^^^sidenote)         I do this so i can film when i'm skiing alone

although hitting things switch, and rail tech is not portrayed well from helmet

some POV lines come out nice if you loft your fronts and add some pizzaz to your backs and limit spinning it looks like 43452345245234.    atleast flips or rodeos you can see footy not just your tornado status huck.

Haha so true. I've never seen one mounted how mine is. I used that elevated mount, put the sticky part right at the front, and then put the mount in upside down so the camera is right at the front directly where my hairline would be. Best spot.

It's basically on the rim of the helmet but the way the mount is set up its as close to the helmet as it can be. Less noticeable weight.

Anyone who gets butthurt over who owns a gopro needs to grow up. I mean really, who cares? If someone with less skill than you wants to film themselves for their personal enjoyment then by all means, film.

I think it's awesome. Fun people watching when people wear their gopro's in the parking lot and pretty much always. gopro'ing your drive to the ski hill in the morning is so hot right now!

Personally i think that everyone who wants one can get one. When more people buy them, more money goes in to the industry. I actually get happy when i see gapers with gopros because i know that they put their (or their parents) money towards a company that i like.

I have one and I don't do any cool tricks or park skiing since I'm old and can't risk injury...my videos are boring but I like having some for memories and to show family who don't ski. It's also real fun for non-skiing stuff!

not true. andrew whiteford, the king of go pros, mounts his on top of helmet. at least i recall him saying that. anyhow, i think it gives a much better overall view

It's not so much the look for me, but the weight. The older gopros especially drag my helmet down to the point where it's pushing my goggles down. I did mount it on the front of the helmet though.
