Replying to Paypal help

ok so i dont know if this has been asked before, but i am in a bit of a rush. ihave a couple paypal questions. 1. do you need to select add funds when buying something from a fellow nser? because i have bought stuff from TAF without "adding funds". 2 if adding funds is necessary, where is the bank transit number found? it is needed by paypal and i dont have cheques so when i look at my online banking, i cannot find this 5 digit number. thats all thanks everyone in advance for answering
