I have have not yet nearly died skiing (yet) but when i was driving on the mountain i hit a patch of black ice and rolled about 20 feet down.

my friend was driving and i was in the passenger seat..she wasnt really paying attention to where we were and realized we had to make a left turn crosing traffic and she just did it without noticing and oncoming car that nearly missed us but like a foot i was scared shitless and so was she..i drove for the rest of the day.

or i dont know if this comes close to death but it was really scary...i love skiing pipe and i love to boost so one day my friends and i were thinking how high i could get. I started dropping in higher than the drop in zone and first time i got about 5 feet and it was cool and all but i wanted to go bigger. so i went a lot further up and i was going really fast so i grinded on of the drop in corners edge to slow me down a bit, dropped in and i went huge probably around 10-11 feet out and then i look down to land and i was fucked. somehow while in the air my torso was above the deck and my skis were not so i hit top deck with my torso and then my skis dropped me down to the lower deck after i hit. and i layed there for like 15 minutes and somehow i didnt break anything..but my friends at the top said everyone got silent..they thought i died.

Last year while biking home from the skate park I was watching for car pulling into the parking lot next to me and I drifted off the side walk and hit a curb and fell ten feet to my head. I got up dazed and someone stopped me I think and wanted to call an ambulance, but I thought I was fine and tried to bike the rest of the way home. I couldn't even got up the incline. I sat down on the bench and the lights were dancing around in my head and I could barely dial my parents number to get me to the hospital. The doctors put me in a neck brace thinking I could have broken my it. The whole time they kept telling me not to fall asleep, but I was so close to just passing out. If I fell asleep I would not be here. I either would have gone into a coma or died. I wear my helmet all the time now. I'm still a little messed up and have some mental issues I'm trying to over come.

I crashed after a drop and went headfirst into a tree well with a bunch of moving snow. My riding buddy was right beside me but had ridden down a little further before realizing what happened. He got to me about a minute later and grabbed me by the skis and pulled me out, but it was the scariest minute ever. I reacted wrong and panicked because I couldn't breathe or move much. This happened inbounds at Revelstoke..ALWAYS ride with a buddy. Also crashed about 200m down and off a cliff another time, wouldn't recommend it.

I was skiing inbounds with low-moderate avy danger and my buddy above me triggered a small slide not enough to burry me but enough to carry me over some rocks and tumbled throughs trees and over rocks for about 100. I had no idea what was going on I was tumbling so fast. Luckily I didn't hit any trees over anything. Probably the scariest moment of my life

this is me, this year, even the title says "athlete falling in a no fall zone" haha. scariest moment i've had on skis...having a chute rip out on me was pretty scary too.

While my buddy was driving 4 of us to his cottage, he pulled out of his driveway, turned backwards to push his dog back, but pulled the wheel with him. he drove into a rock face at a 45 degree angle, with me in the passenger seat. The car thoroughly fucked the rock face, hit a another rock, bounced the right side of the car about 3 feet up, then slammed back down. The wheels were pointing in opposite directions...needless to say he did not drive the car away.

Never skied Mount Washington before, but that day i was felling good. First lap hit the biggest jump (pretty pinner 20-30ish) with a 3, went way to big but managed to ride away. 3rd lap super stoked on a switch 5 i got so i decide to send a back flip. Take way more speed into the big jump than i did the first time, don't know what i was thinking i tucked into it and it was a kind of icy morning. End up sending a fat laid out backie, see the knuckle fly by as i keep gaining elevation. Keep stretching trying to slow my rotation even more. End up slamming down way past the Gucci Plateau in big air Dave territory straight on my back. The wind was completely knocked out of me and my back instantly started to spasm. I couldn't remember what happened until later and was unable stand up and walk by myself until 5 hours later. Lucky for me i got out of it with only a sprained back and a concussion. In the air looking down at the ground was the one time i thought i might die or be paralyzed.

5 weeks ago I broke my collarbone and had to have surgery to fix it. My head / helmet hit first... Since, I've had some complications with normal logic, visual tests... sucks

A month ago,I was in some little fun comp and i tried a urban butter 4 on and the first time i tried, i slipped out on the rail and i thought i had ripped my butthole in half. By far the worst thing i have done so far. (I got it the second time haha

i was bookin shit to the park b4 it closed and was goin a solid 45mph and turned left to the park at the same time some fooligan skied over my skis and i pretty much 1 ski hippy killered thru trees goin like 40, thought it was game over
