Replying to All mountain skis: Rocker/Camber balance.
Hey guys,
I'm going through that exciting time where I'm considering buying a new pair of planks. I've spent the past two days drooling whilst window shopping on the internet, but as I'm going for a type of ski I have no experience with, I'm a little overwhelmed and was hoping y'all could throw me some recommendations. Basically I've always skied on either GS or Park skis. That being said, over the past couple seasons, I'm finding myself freeriding a lot more, but my park skis are just too much effort in the pow, so I fancy a pair of all-mountain skis around 100 under foot.
I want something versatile that's super floaty in the powder and stable off cliffs and jumps, but that I can also spend an afternoon on the groomers with. I'm thinking 60% off, 40% on piste. I've looked at loads of skis, but I'm not really sure what ratio of camber/rocker to be looking at. I started off looking at the Salomon Shogun, but whilst it's reviewed as above average all-round, they don't seem to be anything special. I've also been looking at Nordica Patrons, Atomic Rituals and Faction 3.Zeros to name a few, but there's so many out there, I was just hoping that someone could give me some input.
Cheers!
