Underrated Food

What food do you really enjoy, but hardly anyone knows about?

A few off the top of my head are:
- Frozen fruit (Mixed is best)
- Popcorn with mustard
- Blood oranges
- Bokchoy (With a pinch of salt)
- Bagelwhiches

German Salami, Bison Jerky, Genevese Salami, Herb Loaf. And something odd I like to snack on, raw, Canadian style rye bread. Like seriously, the bread just by itself tastes amazing. Other sandwich breads that are multigrain and coated with seeds are underrated as fuck to and vastly superior to white bread. Deal, With, It.

Sesame semolina ftw. I love me some pure sourdough and rosemary olive oil stuff as well. Fococcia of any kind is also wonderful, but it's never as good as it was in Italy.

Now I love me some salmon, cooked or sushi/sashimi, but I'd actually say it's overrated because everyone loves it and it's just about the only fish mainstream restaurants serve.

Make sure you get the right ones, there might be poisonous ones haha, I don't wanna be responsible for the death of an ns'er.

I had them at a restaurant, they use only danish ingredients and they can't grow lemons there so they use ants instead, they're so much nicer than lemons though, it's weird as hell.

i cant say that ive tried eating any insects before, but it could actually be one of the most sustainable food sources out there, not to get all hippy on everyone here. if the general western public could be convinced to eat insects like what is common in many other cultures, they would make meeting the growing demand of food easier to reach. compared to growing meat and poultry, growing insects takes an incredibly smaller amount of space, money, and time. there are many types of bugs out there that are quite good for you and a very solid source of protein. could be a new way to feed the world, just something to think about.

gelatin, get plain, unflavored gelatin, preferably grass fed if you care. and mix whatever the hell liquid you want in it, you can mix in a shit ton to make them like fruit snack consistency, or less so its like jello. ive made smoothies turned into jello, green tea and other teas, lots of fresh squeezed/juiced juices, trying all sorts of energy drink type things for like a snack to bring mtn biking or something. and its actually very good for you, pretty much just protein and supposidly super good for joints and recovery.
