no need to be insulated just wind/waterproof?

Saga armada orage has some just find around the length you want and check there sizing charts

Check out Ride and their premium line Capp3l. They have a "classic long" fit which is long while still being otherwise true to size and not super baggy. Also the styles and materials are top notch

all of the above and snowboarder brands do it because the boarders sit on their asses so they need tall fit

Very good looking jackets, but I was disappointed by the waterproof/breathability ratings. The best ones had 10k/8k.

The Capp3l line is 10/8, but the Ride line has 3 jackets 20/15 and 4 jackets 15/10 and that's just on the first page. Both lines have classic tall fits

their XLT is only 34.5 inches or something like that i think. I think OP is looking for companies more like saga or fd who have tall sizes which run around 37-40" long

they do have a longer fitting jacket as well, I'm 5'9 and the XL is pretty close to my knees. But yeah if he wants to have a really tall jacket than he should go for FD, Saga, LD, or Armada.
