Building a jump!

Yes I just posted this the backcountry thread, but I figured only a select few view that anyways. I'm dying to build a nice booter before all the snow melts!


My friends and I want to build a decent size jump that will last us through mid May. So we're looking for something fairly high up and something that faces North or at least East.

I've been on Google Earth a fair amount and I'm having trouble finding somewhere that has the criteria above, isn't on private land, and is road-accesible.

Summit County, Eagle County, Clear Creek, and Jefferson County are ideal. I know Loveland Pass is a go to place, but I drove up there a couple weeks ago and I didn't really see anywhere I was too crazy about. And there's always the possibility of some poachers ruining everything around there.

I doubt there is a perfect location that anyone would disclose on here, but anything that is doable into May would be great!

Have you looked at Berthoud Pass or Vail Pass at all?

We were planning to try Vail Pass on Sunday. We're using the snowmobile trails, some time ago when we went there I remember the terrain being super flat and really not a lot of places to build one.

ive heard some good stuff about berthoud, but pretty soon itll have to be at st mary's lol

cameron pass yo.  bit further, but its loaded with prime spots close to the road and sees much less traffic than loveland/berthoud/vail passes so no one with fuck your shit up

Vail Pass has lots of good jumps zones, lots of which you've probably seen in MSP, Poor Boyz, Level 1 and Freeskier. The issue w/ Vail Pass is that its kinda low and will melt out significantly by May.
