well theoretically it is when you slide a rail/box straight or in technical terms 50/50. whilst preforming such a task only one ski is in contact with the rail/box
No, that's a 50-50, a ski slide is like a 50-50 but where one ski is dipped/locked onto the outside edge of the rail/box, I see where your coming from though! For some godforsaken reason we don't have a name for sliding boxes/rails sideways, probably because the name "ski slide", which would be the most appropriate name, was taken by the before-described trick :P
i used to fuck with this trick hard. i wanna see someone get it off a tube.
i found it easiest to get around with my right ski on the rail, spinning left. it helped me keep my feet together when i spun. also it was easier to pop with my right(dominant)foot
Hey man, agree to disagree I guess :) as long as we never play a game of skate it's really not gonna matter, I'm only going off of what I've heard my friends, and Andy parry, call these tricks!
Didn't everyone used to call one ski one one off a nugget, or am I imagining things? No matter what ski slide is about the dumbest name i've heard for it, that makes absolutely no sense.
i find having my left foot on the box, right off easier. when you get to the end of the box throw it like a 4 out and let the right ski start turn round the end of the box, when you leave the box pop off your left foot and let it catch up and look round to spot your landing
was about to say this, i was never really sure what a ski slide was but ive heard it before and i always thought it just meant slide sideways like normal. both skis on going forward would just be a 5050, and one on one off was a nugget, but yea i havent really heard it been called that in a few years really for some reason.
really, haha? i found that its not that hard you really just swing your body around by using each fot as leverage toward the end of the rail and your skis just come around
one of the easier tricks i must say, just practic spinning faster
