How do you record your screen?

I tried using quicktime player but it makes the screen super laggy. please let me know if there are other free ways!

free version only records for 30 seconds. not too hard to find a download for the full on though either

 -Hypercam 2 or 3 is quite easy and smooth
 -fraps is pretty much for high level gaming and it uses shtload of ur cpu and might make gaming or whatever ur doing little laggier but quality is probably best of all if your pc can handle it.
-Bandicam is easy and lightweight recording tool,

I used ishowu HD when I had my mac. If you look on youtube theres some admin password that you can type in to make it free.
