Where to find advice for computers

I'm trying to search around the internet and im not getting anywhere and its pissing me off so im just asking you guys where to find advice. SO......

Where can i find good advice on the internet about laptops and specifications i need? that's all.

By the way, looking for computer fast enough to be able to edit videos, game on it a little bit, and use it through college. If that combination is possible.

I'm looking to find one with a good quad i7 and 1080p screen for under $800 but the only ones I can find are $899.99. Would you be good with a 1336x768 screen?

Is the difference that great? if not, yeah the lower resolution would be fine

Its a pretty big difference actually, but for 15 inch 1336x768 is usually fine. Go to a store like bestbuy or micro center or something and try them out for yourself though, you might notice it more than me.

This is what i found with what i know. starting from here what else do i need to look for in a computer? Is this a good fit?

It will definitely work, it has a fast i7 processor, but the hard drive is 5400rpm (sloww), it has integrated graphics (bad for gaming/gpu acceleration in cs6) and it has the same 1336x768 lower res screen.

the last acer one looks the best imo (if you're ok with that brand) since it has the quad i7, good graphics, the 1600x900 screen (not 1080p, those are >$900) and upgradable to 16gb of ram since it has 4 dimms.
