I see what youre saying but we do things everyday to prepare/prevent things from happening. Brush our teeth, walk on the sidewalks, wash our hands etc. So I carry because my life is very valuble and while I agree there are increadibly low odds ill ever have to use it I still want to be prepared. If I was paranoid about being mugged/robbed/beaten/wife raped etc, then I wouldnt ever leave the house like you said. But im not paranoid. I live my life the same as always except now I have a gun on me and am more aware of my surroundings, which I think everyone should be.
I def see what youre saying and understand where youre coming from, can you see where im coming from that make sense?
Again not pointing the weapon at them just showing it as a deterant probable yelling at them to stop and not come any closer, I have a gun. IF they were smart they would have prob stoped and ran away, noone wants to get shot ha. And if wisc did this he probably would have backed away creating distance himself. And if you feel like youre being threatened of serious bodily harm or death you are allowed to defend yourself. So a group of guys walking at with a body language that they will do you harm is a good enough reason to defend yourself. But to answer your question, my answer would be you better be damn sure what the situation is before you draw your weapon. But again 80% of communication is done through body language I think you would have a pretty good idea whats about to happen.
