Binding mounting and brake width question

I recently purchased a pair of used line Mr pollards opus that I believe were mounted at recommended with salomon sth driver 14s. My question is first off can I mount a pair of drivers in the same spot? Or do I have to use a different pair of bindings if I want to mount at recommended. Another question I have is would the Rossi axial2 xxl's be a good alternative to the drivers? Thank you for the help. I'm quite new to skiing.

The brake width question I had was would 130mm be too wide of a brake for the 118mm wide opus? Thanks again.

It's generally advised that you don't go 15mm wider than the underfoot width. However my dad actually rides a 120mm brake on a 96mm waisted ski, and so far he hasn't had any issues, but as said I wouldn't reccomend doing this. So theoretically you could (130-118=112), but if possible try and find a brake that fits a bit better. ie. if a Salomon binding a 115 brake would be a better suit and if a Rossi binding look for a 120 brake.

I would go STH with a 115 brake. Do you know what the boot size of the previous mount was? You may still be able to mount at recommended with the same binding if your boot size is different than for the previous mount.

So a 115mm brake can be bent easy enough to fit 118mm? I don't know the previous owners boot size but chances are it's different. Thanks for the reply.

Yeh a 115mm brake will fit a 118mm ski no problem, it shouldn't require much bending.
