I have been trying to learn how to do a front 4 off a flat rail but I always land really back seat whenever I come off the rail. Looking for some tips on how to stomp this trick
Try a feature thats higher so you don't spin as fast as you can, and can land smoother cause you kind of 'unwind' in the air to prepare for landing, whereas on something small you don't have the air time to do so.
Set your edge really hard, get a good grip and scissor alot, then just spin out like you normally would for a 270, just a tad bit harder, and keep looking over shoulder, and because you had a hard scissor, you will wind around and land it. You will be amazing on how easy it actually is.
Now OP this is wrong because he never says " Turn 90 degrees onto rail." Basically, If you use these instructions and go on 50-50, when you spin 450 you will land sideways.
my first was an accident, spun a little too hard on a 2. after that when i was learning them, i would concentrate too much on trying to pop off really hard and would land backseat. just do a 2 and keep going a little, so much simpler and easier
Someone said it already, set it like a 270 but keep your head looking over your shoulder until you get the extra 180. That's all it is, an extra 180 degree rotation. You can do those obviously so don't over think it.
Just don't be a fucking pussy, to put it blatantly.
a lot of people have this problem when learning front 4. your probably trying so hard to spin enough that once you get to 270 you pencil and lean back to force the spin. don't do this, just commit to landing frontseat and keep spinning. when you get it right it should feel a lot like a 3
