I worry about the future of skiing...

The only benefit we have as skiers over the coolness of snowboarding was that we could skate along flat ground making traversing and getting to tough areas a breeze. Well now it appears that we are fucked... and so is snowboarding. They're called dual snowboards and this article shows that this product has massive potential to change the face of snow sports. And I thought grind plates and tight pants were going to be the downfall of skiing.

I'm guessing/hoping sarcasm here. If you are somehow able to be OK with looking like a complete butt pirate in the park on these, you are less likely to get over the whiplash and spinal dislocation from tomahawking every other turn on a powder day.

ok first of all, traversing and such is not the only reason skiing is become more popular than snowboarding. It because of the invention of powder skis, the ability to do all tricks snowboards can and the style. Also, Id like to see dual snowboards go off piste...

The thing that I worry about are products coming on the ski industry that only allow you to ski park... skis and snowboards that dont allow you to ski any other part of a mountain shouldnt be allowed

The only thing i worry about in the future of skiing is kids skiing like robots with no style and only wanting to do quad corks, pencil 900's off of 15 foot jumps and 630's off every single rail.
