deep shit..
but really, it CAN only get better and better, you just have to be a stubborn hardass and make it happen, rather than doing what your told and what society expects you to do.
after going to college, seeing and being friends with all the people that are going to follow the same path of.. do good in high school to get into a good college, get into a good college, party and get drunk a lot so you can dumb yourself down to the point where you are constantly too out of it to realize your life is already sucking, get a piece of paper, use that piece of paper to work for someone, get married, then do the same fucking thing every day until your like 60 something. i realized i wanted nothing to do with that, so now im pursuing unrealistic dreams, if those fail, ill find something else, if nothing works out, i will have spent my 20's and 30's going for it and having the best time possible as much as possible.
you can settle down in your fucking 20's and have the same life for the next like 70 years till you die, or you can spend your time exploring, finding passions, trying new things, traveling, etc.. probably making shit for money, but by the time your in your 40's you will actually really want to, and enjoy settling down. and relaxing a bit more, having a family, enjoying some stability etc..
i know it sucks not having your parents support you anymore, but after a little while, you realize you spend probably less time working than you did in school/homework. and when you realize that, and take advantage of your free time, you can do more than you ever did in highschool/college, its a very "freeing" feeling. maybe im lucky with my job, but i really dont make much, and i still find plenty of time to travel, explore, try new stuff, ski, mtn bike, hang out at the lake, dirtbike, and just fuck around, a lot. and i get by just fine.
i dont know if any of that made sense.. but i feel like the "hard workers" who do really good in school, get a serious job, work constantly straight out of college and make lots of money, are the lazy ones. its safe, easy, consistant, and reliable. you are basically guaranteed not to have any problem getting by with that lifestyle. its the people who put their job 2nd, and life experiences/ dreams 1st that are the hard workers. my buddy who lives out of a car pursuing his dream of motorcycle racing, those guys that are 30 years old working night jobs so they can still ski every day, barely getting by.
theres what i think about it, you dont have to "grow up" and settle down, its not human nature, you can spend your 20's and 30's LIVING more than you did in HS/College (lolz at HS/college being the good days anyway, fuck that) but it will be uncomfortable, and uncertain.
