I'm gonna bump this cause I'm heading up there in a couple weeks.
Hitting up bend and then hood but what are some sweet places in between that I should check out, both popular and maybe a bit off the beaten path? Definitely wanna hit up the coast and I'm looking for some good recommendations for mountain biking, hiking, and camping, too. What are some must-see's around Portland? Thanks

Been there and it's farther than I want to drive and I've never been to Oregon before. Seattle's sick, though, wanna head back soon.

The columbia river gorge is always worth checking out if you're near hood, and the Oregon coast is beautiful. If you're 21, hit up some of the breweries in Portland, and maybe stop by ON3P. Also, food carts. There are so many good food carts around Portland. My favorite is Cackalacks hot chicken shack in NE

Vancouver shits on both. Not talking about the Portland suburb either whenever I reference my love for Van City to someone from Oregon or Washington they usually seem to be idiot Americans who don't have a passport and have never been to the best city in North America despite living in the PNW all their lives.

who the fuck cares whether Portland, Seattle, or vancouver are the best cities? They all are dope and different, but have like minded people for the most part. He's asking for cheap stuff to do, not which one is best. I'd hit up the Oregon coast too. Also, where are you driving from?

do some hikes. There are trails everywhere in the northwest and you get to go check out the evergreen forests that the northwest is known for

Lots of good mountain biking around the Hood River Valley, Post Canyon being the premiere location, and my personal favorite.
There isnt a whole lot of anything between Bend and Hood, but if your in to climbing definitely go to Smith Rock outside of Redmond. Its right on the way and world class.
Coast doesn't get great weather this time of year, so i wouldn't recommend that, But Portland is always an awesome city to check out, definitely hit Vodoo Doughnuts in the Pearl district, and Check out OMSI if your into hyper-interactive museums. Microbrews are also great if your 21.
Hope that helped. ask away if you want to know more
