Anyone use Peak Design Camera Clip?

I got myself a DSLR finally and I saw this Clip that hooks onto a belt/strap. It looks pretty good and like it would work but I was wondering if anyone on NS used it? It started as a kickstarter campaign and now sold for $80 online.

Anyone have one of these?

I would not trust that at all - I use blackrapid straps and they've become an essential part of my gear.

What strap did you get?

I met a guy who did you the Capture Clip and says he swears by it. I just wish I could try it out before I put $80 into it.

I mainly am looking into this for hikes and whatnot, when you walk with it in your hip does it keep banging around your body?

That is what I liked about the Capture Clip, I was planning on putting it on my backpack.

I borrowed one from a friend for a while.
It's annoying, it's slow, when you put your bag down you have to take extra care because of the camera or remove it. If you have it on your belt it tries to drag that down and to one side and if you need to take a wee it's horribly clumsy.

Neckstraps and half cases is what I use. Or i just chug it in my bag.

Really - I wouldn't use it. I have pro bodies and wouldn't trust the weight of them on it. Plus it seems like pain to attach to things. Think about the added weight to your belt if you were to put a body + a lens on it...

I have the Blackrapid dr-2 and swear by it.

Maybe ill just pose as a very influential person in the industry and try to get one for free. I just want to attach it to my camelbak and hike with it. Decisions decisions...

After reading some reviews online from Amazon and other sites, I think I'm gonna give this product a shot. Anyone whos interested in hearing about it, I'll post up a review after my travels and uses with it.

So the clip came in, I bought a fabric belt because I think the clip would clamp on best this material. I havn't gone out and walked with it much yet but played around and it is very comfortable on the hip or right in front in the crotch area. It is a bit tricky to get it back into the clip at first, but once you get the hang of it it's really easy.

So far I would recommend the clip to a friend, no issues yet.
