A lot of their length sizing is standard, their "normal fit" goes right to your waist, if you try sizing up thier chest width just gets outrageous and you have an awkwardly fitting garment.

Essentially if you are looking for something tall, I would look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a bombproof piece (Arc'teryx quality) from a rad company then go Patagonia for sure!

Got me a sweet new pair of poles, they're the Joystick Jibbin' Shit edition. Notice my dope nasty wolf tee, stole it off a fat diabetic Indian woman on the res. Also got me a sick ass pair of trick skis, I heard they're like an Armada pro model but that shits lame as fuck so I've been telling everyone they're Surface.

All of that cost me $635 but at retail it would of cost me $1564 just buy your stuff in the spring/summer off and off geartrade...also do everything in your power to win free stuff!!!

What would compel anyone to buy the Armada Outland jacket when you could get an Arc'Tyrex or Patagonia jacket for the same price? The same could be said about their bibs.

Possibly if they tied Alpine Initiatives into the jacket like JP did for Orage's JP pro. Sure Goretex backed is Goretex backed, but the features and how established the alternatives are make the decision really easy for most, or it should

I personally find Arc'Tyrex to be way overhyped and fall behind Armada's Gore-Tex LINE, but I can definitely see your case about Patagonia or Trew

This year's Theta AR and Beta AR have the hood bill which I wish was an industry standard for a long time. Sure my Trew hood fits over my helmet, but I have to unzip the bill which makes me shy away from quick exchanges. It's little things like that.

I wish Trew had Gore backing. I have had to warranty both items from the 11/12 and 12/13 line due to delamination. Not just some, but compromising performance compromising in both cases. My 11/12 Trewth bibs nearly split at the seams after so much water damage leaked in. While my 12/13 Powfunk had a fair amount of moisture leak into a chest pocket I kept my phone in.

That being said, I am grateful for the smooth exchange and their understanding. The complete change in fabric this year also has me looking forward to a pleasant change!

Gore Tex is a very difficult company to get with, TREW has been denied by them already and they were seriously bummed about that. Gore Tex actually approached Armada, which says a lot...

I personally LOVE Trew & Armada and I rock them all day where as my riding homie is a freak for Arc'teryx. It's just personal preference like music or food or anything else. I personally couldn't care less about Arc'teryx unless it was free shwag from a sales rep. The only piece I like from Patagonia would be an 800 fill down sweater as a cold day mid layer.

Will continue using my gray sweet hammer jacket at least one more season. My current pants is hold together with loads of gaffa taip so I need new pants this season. Haven't decided yet, but if shipping to Norway don´t cost to much I really want white bloom pants.. Or I will just get some basic black pants from whatever company..
What does ns think, will this look decent or should I go with some black saga pants or something?

I also still have my Orage Jam Tweed Pants. These have been my go to pants. Back when Orage made nice stuff with properly absurd amounts of baggy.

thanks, I figured black pants would be a bit to boring but I might re consider black pants now. as fast as ski season starts I know I wont care how it looks so I guess I will just look for some good deals on either black pants or get those bloom pants, 20k water proof pretty cheap (even with shipping and taxes) sounds nice..

Just out of interest, can anyone explain the down votes going on with my outerwear post, I didn't think it was that bad? (I get that some of the brighter outfits are a bit "skittle" like, which isn't the coolest)

Don't really care if people don't like it but would be cool to get an understanding of why it's getting so many.
