I raced with his son Yuta. Pretty amazing that his dad is now going to attempt to summit at 80. Yuichiro is a true badass. I told Yuta to make sure his dad didn't try to smuggle his skis along this time for another attempt.

He finally arrests. This doesn't show it, but I was told he ended up about 100 feet short of a massive crevasse.

I had heard he skied it with a parachute, but I was unaware of how much snowplow, a bail, and Space lasers were a part of it.

Sucks he had ski leases on too oh man....

Original badass. He skied Fuji and a couple other mountains like this too if I remember right.

he stuck a straightline down mt Fuji. So impressive. don't know where I saw it but a video of this exists.

Thanks. I had never seen that before. The actually attempt starts at 4:54, but the whole video is pretty funny. It's a commercial for a Fuji Super 8 camera; the first Gopro.
