I agree, only one pool related item per house. Also, I'm staying in this really fancy apartment in Puerto Rico that has a shower like the one on that list, except mine also had a tub with jets!

2 and 7 would be awesome. Hidden rooms are cool just based on what they are, and my #1 requirement for a house is big windows and lots of light. And If i get sick of the windows/light, then I'll have my secret room to hide out in

have #4 a, b, and c for me is a telecommuting job from Mammoth. Had this last summer too and it was a telecommuting job from switzerland. I think #4 is forever a requirement for me from here on out.


As far as the lights over the bathtub thing. Totally inspired! I think I could probably go get some pallets, stain them and string christmas lights through them and mount them some how to my ceiling. Damn that would be awesome. Bathroom already has dark wood + not shitty fake wood flooring of the same color. painting the walls bright white with that... Sweet jesus that would look amazing! Thanks for the inspiration NS.

I need to buy a house to make awesome. But WHERE?!

You could use fibre optic cables instead of christmas lights, you can cut them flush to the surface of the ceiling and they are much harder to see than christmas lights. It would look more professional imho.

hmmmm interesting idea. I'd still absolutely use wood pallets since I just really like the look, but I imagine cables would probably be safer as well and less likely to have the, 'if one goes out, they all go out' issue.
