Great in powder, but also very functional in pretty much any crappy east coast backcountry conditions like wind crust and ice. More manoeuvrable than a super fat ski, but can charge.
They would be a fantastic east coast pow ski as long as you're willing and able to step up and take the driver's seat (they will toss more cautious skiers around). They perform great in everything from pow to icy bumps. I used to race and this ski feels like Line took the GS skis I used to race on and turned them into an all mountain partial twin.
As for touring, they're heavy but that's a sacrifice I've been willing to make. I've toured about 25 days on them this year and haven't been bothered by the weight too much. Then they're fantastic for the descent.
If you're a more aggressive skier then I highly recommend them
