I have no tips but all I have to say is... your awesome.

I'm on my third back to back season, going onto my 4th in Perisher. Never been to NZ though, I hear the pay is pretty rubbish, but then again, the pay in America is pretty rubbish to.

General tips... money is king, if you can't afford it, don't do it. BUDGET HARD, pick up as much work as you need to. Helps to have as much money as you can horde and try and line a job up in advance.

Washing dishes is sick. Brainless work, but If you find the right place you get to ski all day and work nights, every single day. Free food is a bonus as well.

I guess you could live in a van but it'd suck pretty bad... I'd start looking for places to live and ask whoever your trying to gain employment with if they can hook you up.

But yeah, I emphasize that money is king, your gonna be eating noodles and canned food pretty much everyday and your gonna be super poor, but Its so worth it to be able to ski all year, every year.

The whole being broke ass thing is fine for me. I've been teaching skiing for the past 5 winters. dont get paid much. I'll have to igre out were im going soon then to start looking for places to live. still havnt picked yet. I'm liking wanaka and queenstown though. Washing dishes sounds good actually then id get to ski every day. id rather do a ski hill job though for the pass. I'm wondering as well how do you do continuous back to back winters in the same country. As far as I knew you can only get 2 years of holiday visas.

Yeah I'm not sure what the visa deal is. I back to back from southern to northern hemisphere and back again. Its a bit easier having a passport in Australia, I only need to deal with visa's for Japan, America and Canada, all of which have pretty liberal working and holiday visa's for Australians.

As for the pass thing, I mean if you like teaching and all that then yeah man, go for it. I personally prefer to front up the money for a pass and then have the freedom to pick and choose my days, and not have to teach a class, but that's just me haha.

But yeah, I'd definitely start looking soon man

With some of the visa's you're required to do some sort of agricultural work for 3 months within your first years stay.
