this just popped up on my faebook newsfeed. anyone heard of this?

"A stranger, wanting to repay Otwell for helping find his cell phone, offered Otwell a free dose of 25-I, a new synthetic hallucinogenic drug. As Newell watched, her friend knelt and the stranger plopped a single drop from a vial into Otwell's nose.

Otwell immediately started babbling incoherently, Newell said. She got him to the medical tent at the festival, but within 30 minutes, he had a seizure and never regained consciousness. Taken to Tulane University Hospital, he was placed on life support Saturday night; he died Tuesday."

By the way, is 25-I in the same family of drugs as 2Ce and 2Ci? I've done 2Ci and it was pretty intense. Nothing like LSD but more like a mix of ecstasy and coke with some weird visuals.

not to date myself here but when did these 2Ce things come out? we never had any of that shit when I was in school. it was the basics-weed, coke, e, peyote-shit like that. and if you didnt know what it was, you just didnt take it.

^not sure when you were in school but in the past couple years, multiple families of "RCs", or Research Chemicals, have been surfacing throughout America. They can be sold as an RC, but usually are sold as Molly or LSD.

Reaearch on psychedelic drugs was banned in the 1960s to the great detriment of the study of psychology. Timothy Leary, Harvard professor of psychology conducted a study in which prisoners were given small amounts od LSD. 80% of the LSD criminals ceased illegal activity while the majory of criminal are back in prison within one year of their release. He was one of the most respected psychologists in the US before he was largely discredited by our institution. This was because psychidelics are cultural boundary dissolvers and feared by those in power. Alcohol, tobacco etc do not have this effect.

Molly is/should generally just be pure MDMA so you shouldn't have to worry about that other than solution.

Ecstasy is a concerning one due to various cuts. And as mentioned noone really knows much about these 2c research chemicals. I've only done it twice but I have tried pretty much everything except H at least once.

25-i ain't LSD its just like it.
LSD is hard to get a hold of, unlike 25-i which isn't federally regulated yet, so chemistry companies can sell that shit online like candy.

25-i and LSD are different chemicals. They just have ball-tripping similar effects.
And I don't think I would ever let anyone nose drip LSD or 25-i. Fuck that.

What do you mean no shit? You asked what is the difference between "real LSD" and synthetic LSD and I said real LSD == synthetic LSD.

There is no such thing as "real LSD." LSD is derived and synthesized in a lab from a naturally occurring fungus.

Lucy is pretty (relatively) easy to find at any jam band or music festival if you know how to work the crowd. The next time I have the opportunity to buy a liquid vial of acid I am definitely taking advantage.

Probably no more than $300-500 and will last you years upon years if used in moderation.

Just because someone tells you it is LSD doesn't mean it is. Fuck.
Unless you got good taste buds to tell the bitterness or tad of numbing, or a testing kit on you, you're pretty much fucked.

I think typically the ratio is like 6:1 25-i to LSD in amount needed, so people always try and get realllly fuckign high concentrations of the 25-i to make up for the fact its not LSD which then ends up killing people, because unlike LSD, a bad batch of 25-i WILL kill you

Since 25-i-nbome is potent as fuck, it's no wonder this guy died. If you go into trying RCs without any prior knowledge of them you're going to have a terrible time.

Saying it is synthetic LSD is completely false information too. That doesn't even mean anything. 25-i-nbome is a pyschdelic phenylethylamine and is not related to LSD at all.

Not exactly true. Yes Molly SHOULD be pure MDMA but unfortunately it is quite common for people to cut it/substitute it with a bunch of RCs and other random chemicals. The Molly supply has become pretty unreliable, the only way to know for sure is to buy a tester kit.

I usually run into the same crowd at a lot of festivals I go to so once you find a legit dealer or can be introduced you don't really have to worry about getting bunk shit. I guess I'm saying if I can get a vial of pure Lucy and I know it's legit I am doing that next chance I get. Most mind opening and introspective drug I've ever done (haven't been able to try DMT yet).

I did 25-i once this fall, no joke. My buddy was tripping out running, he tripped, did a frontflip, and landed on his back. I remember thinking he was going to have a seizure, like we gotta calm down right now. At one point i was watching duck dynasty and the dude's beard looked like two rainbow tornadoes spiraling into his face, which is sadly the coolest thing i can describe from it. The whole time i felt very tense and scarily energetic, my thoughts raced in constant circles which was scary as fuck. At the peak, i was thinking WAY too fast and time almost seemed to stop completely, i honestly think thats how it must feel at the beginning of death. Even though the tab tasted like a licking a fucking fishing sinker covered in novacaine and asbestos, it was fun as fuck looking back on it, but im not even thinking about taking it ever again.

Dripping that shit into your nose is just stupid and though.

If you look at the structures, the 2C-B and 2C-I are the same thing, just somebody switched out a Br for an I when they made the brominated form illegal. That's a neat legal trick...

but there's a 95% chance that the lucy you're buying is just a research chem. I forget what festival it was but there was a study done where they tested the "acid" and the overwhelming majority wasn't real lsd

whats the reason so many of you people fuck with these kinds of new synthic chems, just to push the envelope?  Im honestly curious?

Weed, molly, coke, LSD, DMT (as long as their all pure) in my mind theres no reason to do anything else, and i havent even done most of what ive listed and im out of college.

I think it's quite interesting to study the effects these chemicals have on the brain, obviously most of the substances are fairly new so it tends to be a little bit more on the dangerous/sketchy side. I think the legality of it is one aspect, then the curiosity and theory behind these chemicals is another.

I think people enjoy essentially beta testing a drug.

I can understand synthetic marijuana, or synthetic mushrooms (if that's even a thing) but I don't think you can synthesize something that already synthetic. Wouldn't it just be a new drug, or an imitation?
