Joystick These 175 cm vs. Klint Pure 175 cm.
I'm 5'10", 135-145 pounds (dependent on the season and how much of a lazy sack of shit I am in a given month), looking for a park specific ski that can charge and hold its own basically all over the mountain. It also needs to be pretty soft and buttery because since I'm pretty light I don't have a lot of weight to put into my skis. Normal flex for most people is pretty stiff for me, and I want to get wacky with these. I'm not going to be going huge in the park just yet because I fucking suck at park and am just looking to progress, but I do need a ski that can hold its own in the woods and at very high speeds through carves. I'm not sure if these are going to replace my all-mountain skis or be my park-specific skis, but either way I'd like a ski that can at least perform pretty well all over.
For context: I find that my 2009 Line Chronic 166 cm are great and they absolutely rip all mountain (I swear I could do super g on those), but they're too stiff and not quite playful enough for me when I want to get weird. I'm mostly replacing them because they're too short, though.
I've heard amazing things about both the Pure and the These. I'd love to hear some firsthand accounts and opinions. And then I'll slink away from gear talk, ashamed that I've added yet another this vs. that thread to the already star-scrapingly high pile of self-absorbed, time wasting, "help you guys I'm just so ambivalent" nonsense threads in gear talk. Just know that I'm sorry.
