just a quick question, just got a sweet video camera after few years of filmin with gopro. ANyways my question is this: When Y'all are doin follow cams do you have autofocus on or do u use manual focus and are just skilled at keeping the shot within the right distance and well framed?
if you set your aperture to around 8 most things should stay pretty much in focus if you're within say 10m of the original focus distance, if that makes any sense at all..
This. But also its been answered a couple times already (searchbar). Sometimes though its fun to use a longer lens (maybe a 35 or 50mm) and set it to like f2.8 and try to get a shot with the skier in focus. It looks pretty sick when you can get it right. But at f8 ish and on a wide angle lens most things will be in focus (look up hyperfocal distance).
