Hey Ns, I just want some feedback as to when some of you resumed skiing after a foot injury.
I suffered a nondisplaced avulsion fracture (chip fracture as opposed to a real fracture) on my navicular bone 7 weeks ago. I was in a walking boot and non weight bearing for three weeks, then walking in a walking boot for another three, and now walk in a shoe with no help. I can walk pain free. I can't run.
I live in the midwest where things have been closed for the season for weeks. My home mountain is opening for two days this weekend. I really want to ski one more time this season since I lost half of it. Do you think I could get away with just skiing some groomers for a day? Any experiences with foot fractures would be appreciated. I'm sick of waiting on my foot to heal.
