I respect vegans, even though their diets are rediculous in my point of view, just because they practice what they preach. Unlike vegatarians, especially pescetarians.
Pescetarians are the biggest BS hipsters on the planet. They preach this absurd stupid diet and how they are so against kililng animals, but will go out and eat fish. So fucking hipocritical. I have no respect for these people. My cousin was one of them and i ripped him apart
it's a lot easier to empathize with other mammals, so it's disgusting to kill and eat a lamb but it's not to kill and eat a fish. it's disingenuous, but it makes sense.
and fish are suffocated out of water when they are caught, pretty cruel in my opinion. whenever I go fishing I always bat them over the head, hate people that through them onto the floor of the boat and let then flop around and die
Mammals don't lay eggs (unless you're a platypus).
And my views on eating are simple. I eat what I want. However; I've gone almost 3 years without eating beef, pork, chicken, or anything in that nature of food.
Err play forget the mammal part but eggs do come from birds. Regardless, I don't really care. Everyone is entitled to make their own choices. Sometimes I feel bad about eating meat but I don't think I'll ever stop.
I know people who are veggie not because they give a fuck about the animal getting killed, but for the simple reason that don't like the taste of meat, and i guess fish tastes totally different so in the retrospect you could understand it
Like said, people simply don't enjoy some foods, and I've grown out of meat.
Even when I still ate meat, I'd go out and choose a veggie or fish option over a steak or tenderloin.
I love seafood though, and I don't think that's something that I can fully commit to stop eating.
What bothers me about the vegetarian food label is that even thinks you're a pretentious douche who's in it for the animal rights crap.
And as for people who say they're vegetarians, but are pescetarian, I can tell you why it happens.
Ever try telling someone you're this big word that they don't know what it means? Kinda difficult.!
Plus it's usually followed by the same follow up questions. It gets annoying over time.
well they already said these fowl are not mammals. and eggs are not offspring unless they are fertilized. they are more accurately described as menstrual cycle.
I didn't do it for any of the animal rights movement bullshit but more out of curiosity and wanting to eat more veggies and potentially force myself into being healthier.
It has actually not been that bad at all and has led me to hitting the gym more often and making conscious decisions about my eating. I don't try to force my beliefs on anyone or really ever talk about it and am still down to go to all you can eat wing night with my roommates and get a fish sandwich and chill with the boyzz.
Planning on trying to go vegetarian in April to see what that is all about. People should eat what they want though because it aint no thing but a g thing baby
lol, insecure much. Just be real about it, the satisfaction you get from eating meat outweighs the negative issues that come along with animal husbandry. Try to think of it in terms of Donald Glover's racist rapist theory, it's better because less people get raped. Pescatarians, are like the racist rapists, while people who eat meat are the regular rapists. Yes, they are better than you by comparison.
vegans are missing out the same way a gay man is at the women's sports illustrated photo shoot, but meat is pretty damn good, if it was swapped with dessert nutritionally i would still eat it
Honestly I don't get what the big deal is. Why does it matter what other people choose to eat. And its not like theres a strict set of rules that you have to follow. What you eat is a personal choice. I know someone who is a vegetarian but once ona rare occasion will eat a burger (maybe a couple of times a year). Everyone has different reasons for eating or not earing certain foods, so why dont you just let them be?
Well, one argument is that vegetarians shouldn't have to pay subsidies on food they will never consume. There are also the significant ecological impacts from raising livestock that affect everyone.
We are talking about two separate issues. I' talking about how peope get caught in the particulars when theres really not a reason to. Basically what I'm saying is this: If someone is a vegetarian because of the impact that live stock have on the environment (nutrient run-off, water consumption, etc), but then eat beef 2 or 3 times a year and still eat fish, is there really a reason to rage at them for not REALLY being a vegetarian? No, because they are still helping the cause.
this is technically true it's called pescatarian, sure this has been said before, do I really care, naw people can eat whatever they want, as a vegetarian who eats meat that I find out of the garbage or that's going to be thrown out because it doesn't effect the supply/demand chain I call myself one but people might say otherwise.
I've been vegetarian for like 2 years but I sometimes like fishing and I ate one about a year ago because I couldn't release it. Still would consider myself vegetarian.
Actually i've been eating pretty much totally vegan for a couple months.
