Why do people have to think that we ignore everything? We can't implement a limiter like this with just the snap of our fingers, but we hear you and put the feature suggestions into our build lists.

I dont' know why you felt like goign out and so deeply attacking someone over it. I mean at least call out Newschoolers for being pieces of dog shit with the shitty features we build, vs attacking other members just trying to put photos up.

You didn't win anything here. The other threads did a perfectly acceptable job behind making us look at the issue.

If you aren't happy that I called out COC or the way I did so, you have the power to delete this thread.


If there aren't any Red posts in a thread, what's stopping anyone from going Schrodinger's cat on them? How do we know the Reds have seen something? How do we know the Reds haven't seen something? A Red post and that cat is for sure dead. There weren't any posts in the video thread and the one in the photo thread was "let it figure itself out." It didn't figure itself out and we can't expect Ken to know that some members are vehemently opposed to mass uploading when he uploaded those pictures. An upload limit for the public gallery is the only way to put everyone on the same page.


This is the first time in any of the three threads a Red has said, "We acknowledge there are some members unhappy with mass uploading, we don't have the capacity to do anything about it overnight but we will look into it to see if there should be or are any potential solutions in the future." That's all I ever wanted to hear.

I wouldn't be happy if you called out anyone, COC or not. I'm stating that you are being over-dramatic about an issue that isn't so horrible.

We can't reply to everything, because if we did no work would get done. People should know that we read site discussion even if we don't respond. We'll try to respond more, if people can try to give the benefit of the doubt more. Fair?

It did sort itself out actually. There was a one day problem here, and people have been learning pretty quickly vs. the problem spiralling out of control with every single day filled with post bombs. None of the good photos/videos that deserved to make it to the homepage got missed in either circumstance and everything is ticking along beautifully. COC said sorry, and that it won't happen again.

So even without implementing this feature, don't you think that there isn't a huge problem here and you're making a mountain out of a molehill?
