Hey M&A, havent posted for a while. Anyways, I am looking to get a lens, something a little wider and have come to the conclusion that a Sigma 10-20 might do the trick. The main question I have before I buy is if anyone has had any negative experiences with this lens, or if there is something better out there (possibly a prime? budget of $500). Thanks
I've considered the same lense, but I think I've concluded to save up a bit more and go with the 11-16. F/2.8 all the way through is pretty fast. And the sharpness is second to none.
I love my sigma 10-20. One of my favorite lenses for skiing by far. If you are going to be using it in really sunny situations its perfect too. It gets highlights and shadows. The white snow isn't blown out and you can still see dark details all at the same time. Only thing i have a problem with is in cold situations the focus stops working. You have to set the focus ahead of time while its in a warm area. Once the lens gets cold the focus won't spin. Other than that i love it
