Atomic Punx or Armada THall?

I know there are threads like this everyday, but when I get my new skis I want them to be the right ones.

I ski in the midwest, and go out west about once per year.
I am 6'0" and weight 130.
I am an intermediate-advanced skier and ski about 90% park, with about 60% rails and 40% jumps.

I found the Punx and the Thalls for the same price, and don't know which one to get.

What are your guys' opinions?

Also, what bindings should I get?
I was thinking Rossi Axial2 120s..

Also, what size?
I was thinking 176 in both.

Just wondering, why Punx?
and I have never heard of these bindings, why these?

Unreal skis. More pop more butter. Just personal opinion. My first twin tip was a thall. I personally prefer the punx. Punx and those bindings at 30 DIN you'll be rippin hard

Well yeah I can't really get all techy with park skis. I just prefer the punx. The t halls were my dream ski when I was younger as well

THalls. Theyre gonna last you a lot longer. Armadas construction is stellar.

Overall they are fairly different skis. The punx are narrower so faster edge to edge and they also have alot more pop. But because they are narrow you have to be more precise on them.

The Thalls are good too, they feel softer to ride and the wider waist makes them feel more stable in slower jib stuff. I have both skis and honestly I prefer the thalls.

But, and its a big but, the imfamous is better then both. So if you dont mind waiting, wait untill next season and get the imfamous. They will be a price point ski so probably not far off what you could get the punx or thalls for now.

someone knows where its at, and yea, if your intermediate/advanced and live in midwest, you dont really need these kind of skis. not saying you cant use them, but these are both skis that can handle man booters and huge features. a more suited jib stick with a soft playful flex is definitely the infamous. got my hands on a pair a while back, model was too small for me, but still liked the flex and stuff

Don't get a race platform binding if you are riding 60% rails the weight difference in the toe piece and heel piece will make balancing on rails a little strange because when the weight is distributed evenly and balenced the ski will be "grinding" the rail closer to the heel piece of your binding instead of directly underfoot like you would get with a fks or a pivot. Buy a pair of used pivots or fks.

ATomic manufactures armada yes, but the construction and dimensions are all armada. I've just had issues with punx getting floppy on me, and armadas have always lasted well for me.

Punx all day however i will admit that after skiing 100 plus days a year i could defenitly use two sets a season while even the armadas have some issues

the punx are just such a playful poppy ski id recomend the 182 though they feel shorter then they look

i thought the infamous was just a stiffer, rockered punx?
i have never skied a rockered ski before, so i'm a little weary, and i am very light so i think i would have trouble flexing a stiffer ski

they are a similar ski to the punx, but since the punx and infamous have the same amound of rocker, there is no difference there. the infamous is marketed as a "jib stick" so it is very light, flexy and poppy (I would imagine) so it would be a good ski for you.

sorry unless you ask around and find a retailer that Atomic selected, then you wont be able to get a pair till next season
