Wiping Text in FCPX

So I'm looking to try something for a video intro. What I have in mind is to have someone walking past the camera, and leaving a trail of text behind them, if that makes any sense. Is there an easy way to do this is FCPX? My school has the software and I just want to use it to make this clip. Thanks guys!

Oh and one other thing, I know nothing about FCP, simply a novice. So tools and terminology would be preferably explained, seeing as I'm stuck in noobville for this.
