As of now I am really regretting the decision to edit in FCP 7. I started this project off in premiere but then switched to FCP 7 because I know it better and could not get Premiere to automatically adjust the scale of RAW and non-RAW clips. I have transferred XML files from Premiere to FCP lots of times before without any hassle, but am now having problems with putting it in Premiere. I have the whole edit cut and want to use Premiere and After Effects to color grade it. When I export the XML from FCP 7 and import it into Premiere, I get the Error message:
"This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type."
I have googled for the last two days and have not been able to find a solution that works. I have tried making a sequence preset matching FCP 7 and it still doesn't work. I have deleted Premiere and reinstalled it and it still does not work. Any other solutions?
Has anyone else encountered this before or know how to fix it/get around it? At this point I'm really frustrated because it should be an easy fix. I know how to use FCP 7 and Color to color grade but was really wanting to try Premiere and AE for magic bullet etc.
