Sony Vegas Pro because that's what I started out with. Also AE for more special effects in edits.

Was just about to make the same thread. i also was wondering what other people use. i use windows live movie maker but it doesnt have many 'effects' if thats what you would call them

If I had to choose just one Adobe After Effects CS5, but most of my edits definitely use at least both Sony Vegas Pro 11, then sometimes C4D and Boujou for 3d/motion tracking

I use Vegas because I can't run a 64 bit OS for Premiere. Vegas isn't bad but I like Premiere more. I'm hoping to upgrade my computer this summer so I can use it.

I like using FCP X, its pretty simple to use and more powerful than basic editing software. I think Im going to change over to something like Premier or Vegas for more options.
