i'm sure that to a more trained eye its actually quite technical. it probably takes a lot of hip control combined with good paddling and an awareness of the water to keep those upright and pointed the right way so as to not go over upside down.

haha lazy skier, backcountry skiers skin for hours to get to the top of a run, or have to hop in a heli and hop out. There is this in skliing as well!

My best friend almost drowned this summer from not pulling his skirt when he flipped. I paddled towards him and he grabbed my kayak though. scared both of us shitless.

but the guy in the beginning brought back some memories i had tucked away

This is pretty cool. If you think about it though, big-mountain skiing has been around longer(as in more publicized) than this cool type of kayaking. When big-mountain skiers first did that stuff, it was viewed the same way. I'm sure in a few years this will be similar, and both sports will be even crazier. :D
