That's what I'm looking for, I have new lifes, which are light and stiff. Now I want some really soft playful skis, because as pointed out by one of my buds, I always talk about how my h I want a super playful ski, but I always end up getting super stiff skis, because I like to ski aggressively. Now, I'm going for some buttery sticks.
If you bought Hellbents and expected them to be stiff charger skis, then you're an idiot.
They're huge, floppy, floaty butter machines. If that's what you like then they're great skis. Though I would argue that EP Pros do the same thing but weigh a lot less.
Completely 100% different kind of ski. And so are the Opus.
2011 EP Pro (the last one) is when they got a bit stiffer. All the older ones are super soft and fun. Bacons got redesigned for the 2010/2011 season (rocker) and then again for the 2011/2012 season (narrower waist). They have always been considerably stiffer than EPs. I would compare the Bacons to skis like the Armada JJ.
A little stiffer but not much. That obsethed is way more versitile though. I skied it on a hard pack day a whister and it went everywhere. It charges through crud. I really like it but its a little heavy
