It's not in 'murica, but my little town of Rossland was #8 in the NY Times' "46 Places to Go in 2013" list..
5 min drive to the ski hill, bike trails from your backyard, 6 lakes within a 1 hour drive, and almost every outdoor activity you can imagine.

Yea, I'm sure there basically the same. We all have our stereotypes of the other schools, but in the end you have mainly the same type of people. Also central is in a good location and its open campus for seniors which is cool. Except who wouldn't just leave anyways. Well good luck with the rest of school! Probably will never see you since I don't live there anymore haha.

oh god. paesanos is my favorite pizza in the world, i miss it. it was really easy to just leave the school during lunch at my school so wed go to mary's kitchen port all the time. if you've never had mary's kitchen port...HAVE IT.

but im in marquette, during fall and winter. then down in the thumb area for summer. or out west if im able to get a summer counselor job.

yah Pies is the shit. I have never been to Mary's before and a group of kids in my class were yelling at me about how good a Gobbler is and how I can't call myself a Traverse City local until I had had one.

Marquette is cool. I was there in February for the first time.

Your money is worthless when millions of people are already coming...MERICA. Im sad that i dont live in traverse city anymore, but im damn glad i dont have deal with fucking fudgies clogging up the roads already adding to the amount of terrible drivers in tc. Kinda sad that theyre slowly making traverse city into a metro area

Most of them are real good.

Squaw/Alpine/Kirkwood are easily top gnar terrain..

Sugarbowl/Rose are good backup offerings.

Heavenly/Northstar/Boreal are incredible for park.

Donner Ski Ranch/Homewood are kickass spots for when you have a blackout date and there's powder.

and.... it's like 8 o 9 hours from LA. Which... is way worse than SF and the Bay Area, so why bother. It's closer to go to vegas than LA from tahoe.

Cook, Minnesota.. or any small town near Boundary Waters.. every town has an awesome outfitter for BWCA... And whatever the tiny town is on the south side of Telluride. Can't remember the name.

Fairfax,CA has not yet been mentioned. Great beer, great outdoors nearby, great food, short drive to San Francisco, short drive to Sonoma/Napa, short drive to the beach, 3 hours to Tahoe, and not yet yuppified like the rest of Marin County.

Also, Bolinas,CA. I refuse to provide any information on it though seeing as it's sooper secret and the locals take always down the government's signs that direct you to get there.
